Laughing it’s a serious business
At the Bournemouth Rotary Club tonight, I am going to be speaking about the importance of daily laughter and if necessary the power of laughing for no reason
You have to get yourself in a silly mood ! One of the antidotes I will be sharing is about the famous Fez Tommy Cooper used to don,
I was booked for a 80th birthday family party , I organise it so the grandkids kids sit at the front cross legged grand parents on chairs behind them and the mums and dads behind them
I produce a big red Fez just hold it there , the grand parents start laughing and chanting just like that – the grandkids staring want to know what’s so funny ! And then just start laughing because laughing is contagious, the mums and dads are roaring with laughter at everyone is laughing
There has been no jokes told – but the laughter gets more intense as the family are just enjoying laughing together- looking into each others eyes there cheeks are hurting they are holding there sides rocking back and forth
Afterwards I’m asked how long have you been a laughing coach ? I replied just over 60 years they declared the I am a Laughter Guru
We are keynote speakers at a NHS Doctor conference in London next month- I will also be running a roll play workshop with them teaching them a skill set of how to try and get someone laughing getting the serotonin naturally ie without pills
